2018 Honda Civic India Launch will take on its rivals and offer a premium yet affordable Honda experience again

The new generation of Honda Civic will be coming to India very soon. Honda Civic India has always been the luxury sedan, and now it will have a completely new avatar. This will be the tenth generation of the Honda Civic and will be launched in India later this year. The Civic sedan was discontinued in the year 2012.

The all new Honda civic looks a lot more fashionable and sporty than its predecessor. The car comes with a complete new styling. The streamlined cab forward design makes it look attractive. There are 17-inch wheels on offer and even machine finished alloy wheels. The car measures 4,603 mm in overall length, 1,799 mm in width and 1,416 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

2018 Honda Civic Interior and Features

On the inside the premium hatchback gets black and beige interiors. The steering wheel is mounted with buttons for controlling music, calling and for selecting cruise control mode. The luxurious sedan also carries a large music system. Talking about the features the Honda Civic gets keyless entry, navigation, reverse parking camera, push start stop and dual airbags as a standard feature. The sedan looks quite big and comfortable on the inside with plenty of space for the passengers.

2018 Honda Civic India Price and Launch

Honda is expected to launch the Civic in India either by 2019. The Japanese giant automakers are planning to price the premium sedan for Rs. 15 lakhs to Rs. 20 lakhs.

2018 Honda Civic India Engine And Specification

Honda will announce a new diesel engine for the all new Civic. The company will use the 1.6-litre i-DTEC engine which will churn out 115 bhp of power and about 230 Nm of peak torque which will be mated to a six speed manual transmission.

Petrol engine for Honda Civic 2017 will be a 1.8-litre i-VTEC which will produce 140 bhp and 210 Nm of torque. Petrol engine will also have an option of a CVT. We could get a 1.5 litre turbo petrol as well mated to an dual clutch gearbox.

2018 Honda Civic Safety Features

Safety features such as six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, tyre deflation warning system, anti-lock breaking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, Honda LaneWatch, adaptive cruise control and multi-angle rear view mirrors are the safety features included in the safety kit of the car.

2018 Honda Civic Competition

The premium sedan will face competition from the Toyota Corolla Altis, Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra and Volkswagen Jetta.
