Jeep Renegade India Pricing will make sure the FCA group gets the volumes it always wanted from the country
Jeep entered the Indian market in August 2016. Jeep India will be soon launching their first locally manufactured product in India the Jeep Compass SUV. Jeep Compass will be followed by the launch of the Renegade.
Jeep had no plans to launch the Renegade in India before, but the SUV has been seen testing on the Indian roads. Now reports have been saying that the American automakers will be bringing their smallest SUV in India soon. It is speculated that the Jeep Renegade will be priced in India around INR 10 lakh.
The Renegade will also be manufactured at Fiat Chrysler facility in Ranjangaon near Pune where already the Jeep Compass is being fudged together. Talking about the design the Renegade looks very traditional and carries a muscular and adventurous exterior profile with 17-inch alloy wheels. The chunky SUV measures 4236mm long, 1805mm wide and 1667mm in height with a wheelbase of 2570mm. It will be made a sub four meter SUV.

For the Indian market, Jeep will be offering the Renegade with a new 1.5/1.6 diesel motor. This will also be along with a 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine producing the same amount of power. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Renegade will also be offered with both 4×2 and 4×4 drive trains. The SUV is said to feature top notch quality interiors like dual-tone dashboard, steering mounted controls, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery rear parking sensors and much more.
The Renegade is a 5-seater which carries a boot capacity of 345L and competes in the B-segment and is likely to go against the very popular EcoSport, Nexon, Brezza and the Renault Duster. Although the launch date of the Renegade has not been confirmed yet but it is very clear that the SUV’s first sighting will be at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo. The Renegade seems to be a very practical 5-seater mini SUV which comes with a big brand name and will definitely seek a lot of attention in the Indian market.
