Jawa 300 Scrambler could be the most affordable Scrambler model till date in the Indian market
The upcoming Jawa motorcycle event on November 15 is expected to witness unveil of at least two new motorcycles from the company. The first one will be the retro, classic version of the Deluxe motorcycle which comes powered by 300 cc engine and is yet to be named. The bike was spotted without any camouflage during its TV commercial shoot.
The second unveil could manifest in the form of Jawa 300 Scrambler model of Jawa 300 which was spotted alongside the Jawa 300 model, albeit under camouflage. The theme of the new bike under wraps is consistent with the Jawa’s plan to develop an adventure Tourer model for the market. Besides the Jawa 300 Scrambler, the company is also planning to bring in a classic, cafe racer, and bobber models for biking enthusiasts.
The spotted Jawa 300 Scrambler was under heavy camouflage and the thick lamination used for the disguising only allowed a partial view of the bike. Still, we can easily make of the significant design differences between the Adventure model and its Classic Roadster counterpart. Take, for example, the front disc brake which is on the left in the adventure model while Roadster has got it on the right-hand side. Also, the Jawa Scrambler gets inverted front telescopic forks with longer travel and high-set rider seat, both features setting it further apart from the roadster model.
The details of engine and specifications are scarce as of now though we expect the new Jawa 300 Scrambler to make use of the Roadster’s 293 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The unit is good for 27PS and 28Nm of Max Power and max torque respectively. Jawa 300 Scrambler may end up using altered gear ratios with focus on high low-end torque. Once launched, the new Jawa 300 Scrambler will have Royal Enfield Himalayan in its crosshairs.
