UM Motorcycles Prices Increase Throughout The Range For MY2017 by a small margin to make sure it meets increasing cost price

UM Motorcycles, the Indian arm of the American motorcycle along with Lohia Auto,today announced an increase in price for their product range in India. The Renegade Commando will now be available at Rs. 1.64 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi) whereas Renegade Sports S will now be available at Rs. 1.57 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi).This price revision was effective from 1st January 2017.

UM Motorcycles Prices Increase says that this price revision is on account of increase in the cost of raw material and other cost of operations. UM Motorcycles have rationalized the costs, but taken care that impact is minimal. UM Motorcycles continues to offer finance at attractive interest rates for customers to enter the brand.

The UM Motorcycles Renegade Commando is a low-slung cruiser powered by a 280cc engine with 25 BHP at 8500 RPM and 21.8 NM of torque at 7000 RPM. The engine mated to a six-speed transmission. This lightweight machine has a 200 mm ground clearance and an inbuilt USB charging point. The front disc brakes at the front and drum brakes are offered at the rear. The motorcycle comes with front suspension and spring rear suspension, which is hydraulic. The bike was earlier available at INR 1.59 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi) and the new price increase is Rs. 5,000

The Renegade Sports S model also shares the same mechanicals as the Commando. An innovative feature called Service Alert Maintenance comes as a standard fitment in both Renegade Commando and Renegade Sports S. Renegade Sports S comes with LED Lights as a standard in Sports S version. Six-speed synchronized mesh gearbox has been added the Sport S. Both motorcycles have a fuel tank of 18 liters with a kerb weight of 172 Kg.

The Renegade sport was earlier priced at INR 1.49 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi), which means the Sport S faces a Rs. 8,000 increase. UM motorcycles continue to expand its dealership nationwide in trying to grab some market share in this segment. A segment which is getting stronger with players now including Mahindra, Bajaj and other upcoming main stream manufacturer.
