2019 Pulsar ABS Equipped Entire Range will come into the market to meet safety norms and probably emission norms of BSVI as well
For the first time, the 2019 Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS along with the Pulsar 150 ABS has been spotted testing. Bajaj is gearing up to launch ABS across the whole Pulsar range which includes the 150, 180 and 220F models. It is expected to be introduced in the Indian market somewhere before the end of 2018.
As per the spy images, we get to know that the upcoming 220F ABS does not get many aesthetic changes as compared to the ongoing model. But the 150 ABS model has been spotted equipped with a belly pan. As the semi fairing on the 220F has a huge fan following, Bajaj hasn’t changed anything on it, but it may get some new decals and patterns.
From the spy images, the ABS encoder ringers can be seen, hence it confirms that this safety features will be available on the upcoming model. The rear disc brakes aren’t clearly visible, hence we cannot make out whether it’s a dual-channel ABS unit. As the Pulsar 150 gets dual channel ABS unit, the 220F will surely get it. Also, as per the government rule, from April 2019 ABS will be compulsory on motorcycles.
Mechanically there won’t be any changes and Pulsar 150, 180 and 220F models and it will be powered with their same engines. We can also expect Bajaj to update their powertrain across the Pulsar range to meet the new BS-VI emission norms which may soon come into action. With the introduction of the dual channel ABS unit, the safety will surely increase but we will also see a steep increase in terms of pricing.
We expect Bajaj to increase the prices across the Pulsar range by Rs 10,000 in comparison with the current ongoing model. It can also be expected that Bajaj may launch the ABS models in the festive season.
