It’s barely been a few months to Mahindra Marazzo ingress in the Indian car market andcompete againstother MPVs in India. This is one of the first models to roll out of the production line with Pininfarina’s touch on it.
The car has a price bracket of INR 9.9 lakhs to INR 13.90 lakhs depending on the trim being offered. Marazzo packs in 1.5litre 4 cylinder Diesel motor cranking out 121bhp and 300 Nm of torque. And this has been the only engine option till date, but the trim does vary from M2 to M8 models. The car does tick quite some boxes when it comes to the prominent features being offered and stands equal if not tall compared to the competition. And since a couple of weeks we all have been harping about the BS-VI compliancy. All the manufacturers from A to Z have been on a burst of speed to upgrade their fleet and prep up for the BS-VI norms.
With the deadline being set to 1st April 2020, it doesn’t seem too far. The new Marazzo is expected to be more fuel efficient with deficit amount of gases and still put out similar power figures if not more. With all these changes Mahindra has a fair chance to put out a Petrol variant of Marazzo in the market and enhance its customer reach and sales figures. A remarkable price hike is expected for the BS-VI compliant Marazzo as a compensation to all the changes being made to the current configuration.
