2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and Kawasaki Z900 (STD) undercut the competition by a huge margin thanks to the new SKD route used by the company

Once a very conservative approach towards everything, Kawasaki brought in bikes which were expensive into the country. Despite that thanks to the brand image, the motorcycles sold and they did really well back in those times when compared. However, when the new motorcycles are coming, Kawasaki is taking new routes to make sure that they still stand out.

Oldest player in the lot, the manufacturer is now set to start its own factory in Chakan and move out of the Bajaj Akrudi plant. They begin a new SKD route for its motorcycle with its new range of motorcycle and it has begun with the newly launched Ninja 1000. The manufacturer has launched them at a mouth watering, extremely tempting 9.98 Lakhs ex-showroom Pan India (Thanks GST).

The bike is more feature loaded than before and offers so much more than the already impressive previous version that this makes un-resistible for motorcyclist in that segment. The Ninja 1000 get a new IMU which helps it give more electronics.

The Ninja 1000 in India now gets LED headlamps, Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF) KTRC, KIBS which are traction control and latter is pitching and braking control. The engine is now BSIV and makes 142 PS of power and 111 Nm of torque.

The Z900 continues to be the same. We are glad Kawasaki has finally bought the Z900 with the black paint scheme and green chassis which looks great along with the green and paint black scheme already on offer.

The Z900 now a dramatic price of Rs. 7.68 Lakhs without any accessories which the earlier launched version had and made it cost around Rs. 9.0 Lakh mark. The motorcycle continues to make 125 PS and 98.6 Nm of torque from a larger displacement motor over the Z800. The motorcycle is 21 kgs lighter which already seems good on paper.
