KTM Duke 790 will be the next best thing in its category as it will be the most performance oriented motorcycle and will attract buyers
KTM is on an aggressive streak worldwide. Clear statements to overtake Japanese rivals by the CEO makes thing even more exciting for the market, enthusiast and critics. To dominate every segment, it needs a motorcycle in every segment. It all started all over again when Bajaj took 49% from KTM and invested money to make new motorcycles. Duke 125, 200 and 390 came and then RC version of them came along. KTM wants to do pretty much the same with higher category. The company’s CEO just announced 800cc motorcycle with naked and adventure category are in mind and will be launched one after the other. A supersport against the like of Ducati Panigale and Triumph Daytona cannot be ruled out then, can they? We decided to have a look at the KTM Duke 790, which will come first.
KTM Duke 790 Design and Dimensions
When it comes to design, the motorcycles have always been short in size, minimalist panel usage everywhere and a short wheelbase will help it look like a proper street fighter. Adventure version will come with a beak at the front along with a large fairing. KTM themselves confirm this. Typical flat headlight cowl and overall design will shout KTM indeed. Paint scheme should be inspired by the SuperDuke.
Adventure motorcycle gets a flat seat, swingarm mounted suspension, spoke wheels, chunky off-road tyres, larger front-wheel, new front fairing of the headlight dome and other bits can be expected related to an adventure to come on the motorcycle soon.

KTM Duke 790 India Launch and Price
India launch will happen in late 2019 and international launch will happen first in mid 2017. Expect prices to begin around Rs. 8 lakhs on-road in India.

With KTM, the expectation is always high and it will be higher when it comes to production of this vehicle. Expect it to be the lightest vehicle in its class with twin-cylinder and trellis frame combo seen in the spy pictures. USD forks at the front and monoshock both being adjustable should make things tempting and easier to find a perfect setting for every rider. ABS equipped large dual disc brakes at the front should do their job well.
