The Dominar 400s will first form part of the official convoy for Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026, from 19-23 January, covering 437-km of its routes, before being allocated to the three police departments for day-to-day law enforcement duties. With Pune District witnessing massive road upgrades over last 3 months for the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour’s 437-km road infrastructure, crossing through urban landscape and rural areas of 9 talukas and 150 villages, the modified Dominar 400 police-spec motorcycles, equipped with latest communication technology and emergency response mechanism, are seen as a boon to provide efficiencies for police forces.
The Dominar 400 were received today in a function at Pune Police Ground, Shivajinagar by Mr. Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Pune; Mr. Vinay Choubey, Commissioner of Police, Pimpri-Chinchwad; Mr. Sandeep Gill, Superintendent of Police, Pune Rural; in presence of high-ranking civic officials Mr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Divisional Commissioner, Pune; Mr. Naval Kishor Ram, Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation; Mr. Shravan Hardikar, Commissioner Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner; Ms. Sheetal Teli, Sports Commissioner; Mr. Jitendra Dudi, Collector, Pune District and Mr. Gajanan Patil, CEO, Zilla Parishad.
