2018 Honda Amaze Launch has been done and the sub compact sedan comes with petrol and diesel automatic along with a manual gearbox option
Honda Cars India Ltd today commenced pre-launch bookings for the much-awaited All New 2nd Generation Honda Amaze. The booking can be made at all authorized Honda dealerships across the country, with a booking amount of Rs 21,000. The All New 2nd Generation Amaze is built on an all-new platform which is lighter and has even more space than before. The chassis is all new with more focus on driving dynamics.
The 2nd Generation Honda Amaze continues with unique design, spacious interiors and advanced engine technology. It is equipped with several new convenience features and latest safety technologies. New Digipad 2.0, multiple airbags and a new dashboard design should help it stand out.
Four powertrain options at Honda Amaze Launch will be offered with the Amaze, they include the 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol and the 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel will get the five-speed manual and the option of a CVT automatic. The diesel-CVT combo gets 20hp and 40Nm less than in its manual gearbox equipped counterpart. ARAI rated fuel efficiencies for these variants are: 19.5 km/l for the petrol-manual, 19.0 km/l for the petrol-automatic, 27.8 km/l for the diesel-manual and 23.8 km/l for the diesel-automatic. The CVT automatic will only be offered on the mid-spec S and V trims and not the top-spec VX variant.
Since its introduction in the Indian market in 2013, the Amaze has gained popularity as a premium family sedan from Honda and has sold 2.57 lakh units so far. Amaze was the first diesel model introduced by HCIL, marking Honda’s entry into Diesel segment in India.
