Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the facelifted Ertiga in a couple of months which has been spotted testing without any camouflage in the streets. The test mule spotted didn’t have much change which was carrying the same set of headlights and tail lamps from the current generation. The front grill seems to be changed now with a new mesh-like design which is going to be a minor update considering a few changes to the exterior of the vehicle. Whereas there might be a few changes to the interior, expect new colors for the seat upholstery, new additions to the equipment list, and probably new interior trims. The seating configuration will remain to be the same 7-seat as the current vehicle.

The facelifted Ertiga is going to be mechanically unchanged which means it will still be powered by the same 1.5L petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech which is Maruti’s tried and tested the motor and proved its durability over time. The engine makes 105 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. Safety features will include dual airbags, ABS, EBD. Traction control could make it too. We would like to see new Maruti cars with six airbags too. For top-end variants atleast.

Expect a minor hike in the pricing after the sale of the facelifted version starts. After this update, Maruti will soon be unveiling the Baleno’s facelift, followed by its plan to introduce a couple of new SUV’s in the Indian car market in various segments to re-affirm its lost market share.
