Suzuki Access 125, one of India’s most popular and best-selling motorcycles, will soon get a facelift. These test scooters were spotted near Delhi-NCR. Both scooters have been filmed, but the bodywork and key details give us a rough idea of what to expect. The first is that the body parts are more or less unchanged compared to today. Moreover, the alloy wheels look more elegant and detailed than they are, and their design does not change. This shows that it is not a new generation, but a new face.
The most important thing to know is the two-light LED light. The current model also has an LED on the top bar but no twin. Additionally, the tail section is covered so the design can be updated. Ironically, during our spying, one of the scooters broke down and the other rider helped move the bike. We have warning lights here. The rear design gets an overhaul with new LEDs and hazard warning flashers. Instrument cluster will be all new too.
It is possible to compete with current market trends. Bluetooth connection and feature switching, SMS/calling etc. features will also be presented. Other important details to note include the two-tone hood, chrome plating of the vents and the handle. The mirrors of the test section also remained unchanged.
The hardware may remain unchanged for facelift model This looks set to be a mid-life update of the Access 125. Therefore, the engine and hardware are likely to remain unchanged. Speaking of wheels, the scooter has a 12-inch front tire and a 12-inch is now expected at the back like the Burgman. Additionally, the front suspension is telescopic and the rear suspension is double spring unit.
It will be powered by an air-cooled 124cc engine that develops a power of 8.6 hp. We assume that the same powertrain will be used in the new model. We assume, a 150cc could also make it to the scooter as the popularity for high powered scooter is on high demand. However, there is no denying the possibility that Suzuki has made adjustments and worked on the engine for better performance. The test mule also had single front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
The new look of the Access 125 may be introduced before the Diwali festival this year. Since there will be no big change, prices will remain more or less the same. Access 125’s rivals are the popular Honda Activa 125 and TVS Jupiter 125.
