Top Highlights of the All-new E-Class LWB:

Radiator grille with star pattern surface
A black panel-like surface connects the radiator grille with the headlamps. The three-dimensionally designed radiator grille has the STAR at the centre in the Avantgarde line that has been selected for the new E-Class.

MBUX Superscreen with large glass surface
The dashboard makes for the digital experience in the interior. The E-Class is equipped with a front passenger screen, and large glass surface of the MBUX Superscreen extends to the central display. Visually detached from this is the high-resolution instrument cluster display in the driver’s field of vision. The main icons on the central and passenger displays are now simpler and color-coded to match smartphone tiles.

New electronic architecture
The electronic architecture is more software- and less hardware-driven. The computing functions of previously separate domains take place in a single processor. Screens and the MBUX infotainment system thus share a new, very powerful central onboard computer. This form of networking improves the performance and speed of the data streams.

New selfie and video camera
A new feature is a selfie and video camera (part of the optional MBUX Superscreen) on top of the dashboard. Using the new on-board Vivaldi browser opens new possibilities for video calls for work and pleasure by enabling you to connect from your car on the go as well.

Automated comfort functions with routines
Mercedes-Benz is pursuing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enable the car to learn which comfort systems vehicle occupants use repeatedly. Given the same circumstances, the aim is for AI to automate such functions. Mercedes-Benz uses the term ‘routine’ for this innovation. At launch of the new E-Class, customers will be able to use templates for standard routines. They also have the option of creating routines themselves.
Intelligent passenger screen
The front passenger can watch dynamic content such as TV or video streaming on the display during a journey while the driver is protected from distraction.

Enhanced Suspension
The suspension is specially tuned keeping in mind the rear seat passengers and driving conditions in India. As standard, the E-Class is equipped with our AGILITY CONTROL steel spring suspension with selective damping system. This combines balanced ride comfort and high driving stability. The passive damping system ensures a superior driving experience on any road surface. It continuously adapts rolling behaviour, cushioning effect, and stabilization to the current surface. In the case of smaller bumps, the ride comfort is enhanced by reducing the damping effect, while with larger bumps the full damping ensures optimum stability.

Resource-conserving materials
Numerous components of the New E-Class are made partly from resource-saving materials (recyclable and renewable raw materials). For the first time, certified recycled raw materials are used in the foam of the seats according to the “mass balance approach”. In terms of their properties, they do not differ from raw materials produced from crude oil.
