Triumph Motorcycles is about to launch a new sports bikes in the form of the new Triumph Daytona 660 or with any other name. The upcoming motorcycle will make its world debut on January 9, 2024 at 5:30 PM IST.
The teaser image shows the performance-oriented bike with dual headlight clusters, sporty stance and an engine cover with 660 lettering. We believe its engine will be shared with the Triumph Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660.
The 660 siblings are powered by a 660cc three-cylinder engine that produces 80 horsepower at 10,250 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed transmission with anti-slip and auxiliary clutch. We believe the Daytona 660 will offer the same kind of power, but will focus on delivering crisp performance to match its specs and intent.
While the Daytona nameplate is expected to return with this motorcycle, fans are still waiting for the relaunch of the Daytona 765. The bike has a huge following. Maybe that’s why Triumph left a note in big letters on the bumper sticker: “CHANGE THE LAW.” Test mules have been seen many times in international markets. The driving position is sporty but not dominant. Many elements were shared with the 660 Triumph bike.
We believe this product will be launched in India soon after its global debut and will be priced around Rs. 9.0 lakhs (ex-showroom). What do you think of the new Triumph Daytona or a sports bike from the brand?
