2024 Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Sport And GT Line Variants Revealed

Volkswagen India at its Annual Brand Conference 2024, unveiled a slew of new product offerings for the Indian market. Reinvigorating its product line- up, the Brand showcased new GT Plus Sport and GT Line variants for Taigun, while also announcing a refreshed line structure for the SUV. Paving the way for the Brand’s new leap towards electrification, Volkswagen India showcased the ID.4 amidst great fanfare.

Sparking excitement amongst SUVW buyers, Volkswagen India today opened bookings for the newly introduced variants Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line. The Brand also showcased a new concept based on the highly popular Virtus sedan that has been developed to exemplify the dynamic and powerful identity of Virtus and further elevates the dynamism of the GT badge on this iconic sedan.

New line structure: Volkswagen Taigun will now be offered to customers in three trim plans: ‘GT Edge’, ‘Chrome’ and ‘Sport’. Under the new line structure, Volkswagen India unveiled two new variants, Taigun GT Plus Sport and Taigun GT Line. The refreshed line structure has been developed to present customers with unique design personas of each line, catering to the visual differentiation and appeal of each trim. GT Edge variants will offer the coveted Edge Collection to customers including both Matte and Black exterior colour options.

Under the ‘Chrome’ line, customers have an option to choose from both engine options – 1.5l TSI EVO (7-speed DSG & 6-speed manual transmission) and 1.0l TSI (6- speed automatic transmission & 6-speed manual transmission). While the new ‘Sport’ line has a new visually distinct ‘dark styled’ identity will be offered to customers in the GT Plus Sport variant with the 1.5l TSI EVO (7-speed DSG & 6-speed manual transmission) powertrain and the GT Line variant with the 1.0l TSI (6-speed automatic transmission & 6-speed manual transmission) powertrain options.

Designed to thrill: Volkswagen today opened bookings for the soon to be launched new Taigun GT Plus Sport. Designed to amplify the bold nature of this SUV in a ‘dark styled’ avatar, the Taigun GT Plus Sport draws synergies from the fun-to-drive and robust tenets of driving a Taigun and will be available to customers in all colour options. The Brand envisioned a new theme for the SUV with the application of black coloured trim fitment across the SUV’s exterior and interior.
