2024 Yamaha R3 And MT-03 India Launch is now set for December 15, deliveries will begin later this month. And while it will be available in more than 100 cities across the country, these two models will not be available in all showrooms. According to Yamaha, it will sell the R3 and MT-03 through Blue Square dealers nationwide only.
The YZF-R3 is all set to return to the Indian market having previously been sold here in the BS4 era. Its naked sibling, the MT-03, will go on sale in India for the first time. Both models ride on the same diamond frame and are powered by a single 321cc parallel twin engine that produces 42PS and 29.5Nm. Last time we were here the R3 had a conventional telescopic fork, but this time both bikes swap with a USD front forks.

In terms of price, both bikes will be at the more expensive end of the market dynamics as they will be launched as CBUs instead of CKDs (initially). KTM 390 Duke like pricing still isn’t on the cards (Rs 3.11 lakh) and RC 390 (Rs 3.18 lakh), but at the same time, it should not as exorbitant as the Ninja 400 which is priced at Rs 5.2 lakhs. Ninja 400 will not compete anymore as it is set to be discontinued and replaced with the Ninja 500 and Z 500. There is a slew of motorcycles in the 400cc by QJ Motor, Benelli and others as well.
