Renault India today announced the launch of the New Kiger, developed under the rethink performance philosophy. The fully loaded Turbo variants of Kiger – Techno and Emotion are priced between INR 9.99 Lakhs and INR 11.29 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the more accessible naturally aspirated engine variants are available between INR 6.29 Lakhs and INR 9.14 Lakhs (ex-showroom). 2025 Renault Kiger features a bold front fascia with Renault’s new brand identity, a squared-off stance, and extended chin and rear skid graphics.
The 2025 Renault Kiger launch also debuts an exclusive new colour—Oasis Yellow, a vibrant shade with special mica treatment that enhances its visual impact and emotional resonance. Paired with a reflective black grille, metallic grey skid plate, sporty alloy wheels, dual-tone roof, and distinctive graphic elements. The car is available in seven attractive colours, including two new additions — Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey — alongside existing options: Radiant Red, Caspian Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, and Stealth Black.
The sub-4meter car retains its engineering brilliance of uniquely designed engine compartment enabling a spacious cabin layout with best in segment rear kneeroom, interior storage space, front couple distance and class leading boot space. The car also offers three distinct driving modes — Eco, Normal, and Sport — designed to adapt to varying drivetrain needs and customer preferences.
At its heart is a spirited Turbocharged Engine that produces maximum power of 100 PS and up to 160 Nm of torque, while ensuring impressive fuel efficiency of 20.38 kmpl (as per ARAI). The New Kiger is also available with a refined naturally aspirated engine, delivering maximum power of 72 PS and up to 96 Nm of torque, along with a fuel efficiency of 19.83 kmpl (as per ARAI).
Kiger gets Mirror Bore Coating technology, used commonly in racing cars, which reduces friction inside the engine cylinder, thus improves fuel economy, offers more power, and improves engine durability. The compact SUV provides a best-in-segment torque-to-weight ratio, enabling swift acceleration. This should address the sub-par refinement offered in the past.
The New Kiger offers a range of versatile transmission options to suit every driving style — the standard 5-speed manual for those who love control, the convenient Easy-R AMT for effortless city commutes, and the advanced X-Tronic CVT for smooth and refined performance. What sets the CVT apart is its exclusive D-Step technology, which eliminates the typical ‘rubber-band effect’ by introducing step-like changes in engine speed. It now offers 6 airbags, including front, side, and curtain airbags, part of the total 21 standard safety features across all variants.
