These updates focus on offering more choice while staying aligned with evolving government norms and rider preferences.”
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is powered by a 776cc parallel-twin DOHC engine delivering a fine balance of smooth, controllable power from low rpm and the pleasant feeling of free-revving performance through to the high end. Its 270-degree crankshaft design delivers a smooth ride and a pleasing rumble & engine note similar to a V-twin engine.
Featuring a rigid steel frame, the motorcycle ensures excellent straight-line stability and nimble handling on highways, while the long wheelbase, tall ground clearance, and wide handlebar enhance stability and control on unpaved terrains. The Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE features Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) inverted front forks and Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) mono-shock rear suspension with hand-adjustable spring preload. The suspension’s long 220 mm front fork stroke and 220 mm of rear wheel travel realizes the longest amount of travel ever available on a member of the V-Strom family and contributes to realizing the tallest ground clearance (220 mm) of any V-Strom model to date. A 21-inch aluminium front rim, wire-spoke wheels and Dunlop TRAILMAX MIXTOUR adventure tires featuring a semi-block pattern provide traction on unpaved surfaces.
The motorcycle also features a 20-litre fuel tank for extended range, and electronic rider aids including Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with three different riding modes, Suzuki Traction Control System (with Gravel mode), Suzuki Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle, Bi-directional Quick Shift System, Two-mode Antilock Brake System (ABS), Low RPM Assist and Suzuki Easy Start System.
