After over two years since the Hero-Harley collaboration introduced the X440, a new model has made its debut: the X440 T. This latest addition offers a more angular rear three-quarter section, which many might consider an aesthetic improvement compared to the standard X440, alongside several subtle visual enhancements.
The redesigned rear of the Harley-Davidson X440 T addresses one of the main criticisms of the original X440. This new version features a sharper, more balanced appearance with reduced empty space between the rear wheel and fender. Additional updates include bar-end mirrors and a selection of four new colors, amplifying the X440 T’s presence on the road. However, it’s worth noting that we haven’t yet seen any front images of the X440 T, which likely resembles the X440 aside from its new mirrors.
Currently, Hero and Harley-Davidson have not disclosed detailed specifications for the X440 T, but it’s anticipated to share a close relationship with the X440 in terms of technical features. From the images we’ve seen, it appears to retain the same frame, engine, suspension setup, wheel sizes, and dual disc brakes as its predecessor. The Harley-Davidson X440 is priced between Rs 2.40 lakh and Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and we expect the X440 T to fall within a similar price range once announced.
It remains to be seen whether the X440 T will replace the existing X440 in Harley-Davidson’s lineup produced by Hero in India or if it will coexist alongside it. The launch is anticipated in the upcoming weeks and could be accompanied by another model based on the 440 platform.
