Mahindra & Mahindra today announced the opening of pre-bookings for XUV 7XO. XUV 700 is now the 7X0. A name change quite early in its life span raises eyebrows. Mahindra XUV 7X0 will now meet stiff competition from the Tata Safari which has been heavily updated and gets an actual, useable petrol engine. The diesel on the Safari is set to get an update by mid 2026 too. The Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid has become a serious contendor in this segment. Customers can pre-book starting at 12:00 PM on 15th December 2025, with a booking amount of INR 21000, to secure an early booking sequence.
Customers will have the flexibility to select their preferred dealership, fuel type, and transmission at the time of pre-booking. The XUV 7XO will be offered with two fuel options – petrol and diesel – available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The pre-booking option will be available across all Mahindra dealerships and the company’s online channels. Mahindra continues to have only two ICE monocoque products in their entire portfolio while the rest of the products are for the hinterland crowd only. Mahindra is set to launch three screen dashboard equipped 7X0 with video game alike graphics, fonts and layout.
