It’s not quite right to refer to the Yamaha Tracer 7 and 7 GT as actual sneak peeks for EICMA 2025. Both models have been on the market since last July, featuring enhancements like a sturdier frame, a longer swingarm, updated suspension, improved riding position, a Euro 5-compliant engine, and a host of tech advancements. These include three engine maps, adjustable and deactivatable traction control, and cruise control.
That said, the latest offerings from Yamaha’s sport touring line still spark interest, especially with the recent addition of the Y-AMT automated manual transmission variants. These versions forgo the clutch lever, allowing for swift gear changes with just a flick of the index finger on the left hand. Alternatively, riders can let the control unit handle gear selection automatically.
The new Yamaha Tracer 7 and Tracer 7 GT Y-AMT, along with the 35 kW versions compatible with an A2 license, come in the same color options as their manual counterparts.
