BMW is working on the X8/X9 SUV and it will become the brand’s flagship model. Why? the BMW X8/X9 will lock its horns with the bigger SUV’s in America and luxury European counterparts. According to BMW, the premium segment is growing fast and everything seems ready to make it and market to accept it. The Neue Klasse platform emergence further solidifies this SUV’s welcome in the future.
BMW will most likely provide both options of a seven-seater version as well as five-seater version. Most of the concentration here will be on providing with a luxurious ride for the occupants in the rear seat.
While the former idea is said to be favoured by many, it potentially adds complexity to the project as it requires fun to drive capability and yet providing sheer comfort like bigger American SUV’s and well done high-end European cars/SUV’s.
Under the hood of the BMW X8/X9 will be petrol-electric hybrid powertrain and it will most likely be a V8 engine to begin with in many high powerful tunes. There will be a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged petrol mill for sensible Europeans to buy it as well. The electric version will make it and could come with a 150 kwh battery pack making the deal for many markets very luractive for conscious buyers.
