Royal Enfield has announced a price increase for the tubeless cross-spoke wheels that come with the Himalayan 450. Starting today, these wheels, along with other spare parts, will be available at all showrooms for Rs. 40,645. The KTM are now priced between Rs 30,000 and Rs.32,000
Notably, this updated pricing affects current owners of the Himalayan 450 who wish to buy the wheels as an accessory. For new buyers who order this part at the time of their booking—whether online or through RE dealerships—these tubeless wheels will cost Rs. 11,000.
Previously, the company offered these wheels to existing customers at the same price of Rs. 11,000. This pricing strategy has been in place since September of last year and remained unchanged for nearly nine months.
This price hike is likely to frustrate current Himalayan 450 owners. However, the brand did allow ample time for customers to make the upgrade to the wheels. As a result, we can expect a decline in inquiries for tubeless wheel purchases, but those Himalayan 450 riders aware of the advantages of a tubeless setup may have already secured theirs.
