Tesla India officially launched in July 2025. Within two months of opening, Tesla has started
the deliveries of the Model Y; this marks a significant step forward and creates a new
chapter in electric vehicle ownership and sustainable development in India.
• New Model Y owners will be provided with a complimentary Wall Connector, allowing
convenient installation in their parking space for easy home charging.
• Tesla aims to provide a comprehensive charging solution and a seamless Tesla experience
with its technology. “Plug in, charge and go” is the best way to describe the Tesla charging
experience. Customers can also charge at Tesla Charging Stations in Mumbai and Delhi. The
Tesla Charging Station in One BKC, Mumbai, features four V4 Superchargers (DC) and four
Destination Chargers (AC). The Tesla Charging Station in Aerocity, Delhi, features four V4
Superchargers (DC) and three Destination Chargers (AC), providing customers with the
option to select the one best suited to their needs.
• Customers can discover the stations and navigate to the chargers via the maps in their
vehicles and the Tesla App. Tesla vehicles will begin to pre-condition the battery on route to
the selected charger, helping the vehicle charge more efficiently.
• At a peak efficiency of 250 kW, a Tesla Model Y can gain up to 267 km of range in just 15
minutes, with charging easily managed or paid for via the Tesla app.
• Customers across India can order the Model Y on Tesla.com and experience the world’s
best-selling vehicle at the Tesla Experience Centers in Mumbai and Delhi. Customers can
now sign up online for a test drive experience to immerse themselves in the cutting-edge
technology and unmatched performance of the Model Y through Tesla’s meticulously
crafted route.
• The redesigned Model Y, the world’s best-selling electric vehicle in 2023 and 2024, is
available in two trims: Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, which provide
500 km and 622 km (WLTP) range, respectively. The Model Y (from INR 59,89,000) is now

• Tesla’s vehicles receive continuous Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates that introduce new
features, improve performance, and provide bug fixes, often notifying owners via the
vehicle’s touchscreen and the Tesla app. In 2024, Tesla vehicles received over 250 new
features in OTA updates. And in 2025, there are over 70 features which have already been
released to customers.
• To further enable the transition to sustainable energy, Tesla is offering a complimentary Wall
Connector with every new Tesla vehicle purchased. The Wall Connector can be installed at
customers’ homes or workplaces, enabling them to start each day with a fully charged
Tesla, reducing costs per mile and eliminating trips to fuel stations.
• Further, Tesla will also start deliveries for Long Range Model Y customers soon.
