In a bid to push the ailing Thar Roxx, Mahindra today announced the launch of the new Thar ROXX STAR EDN – an aesthetically different addition to the Thar ROXX range. The variant is cheaper with some changes to make lucrative buyers who continue to choose others in the same showroom or the market entirely. Starting at ₹ 16.85 Lakh, which is a surprisingly lower price the variants its is earlier based on. These prices are set to be introductory which is also a surprise given the scale of economies are already established after a year of its launch.

· Color Options: A vibrant new hero color Citrine Yellow, adding a distinctive and sporty presence. Other color options include Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black.
Thar ROXX STAR EDN will continue to offer similar engines and transmission options – G20 TGDi mStallion and D22 mHawk producing max power of 130 kW@5000r/min, torque of 380 Nm and power of 128.6 kW@3500r/min, torque of 400 Nm respectively. All three variants will come with rear-wheel drive system and no 4×4 system.
