Bajaj has already said that the KTM brand will have 350cc and 390cc ADV’s for the market to see where the market goes. There are word in the market saying both could continue for a long period of time. The KTM customer base is strong in what they want. Some might want to compromise, some won’t. Bajaj could encash on this by using the brands they make to bring more ADV’s in the market. Bajaj could launch the Husqvarna ADV’s sooner or later in either both engine formats or just one. The same could be done for Triumph as well giving customers four options to choose from.
Bajaj themselves hasn’t entered the ADV space till date and the arrival of TVS will finally have Bajaj work on this and come out of their own. Work seems to be finally in progress is what we here from reports and this could spawn two variants as well. Bajaj could launch 250 and 350 or may be a 250 or a 400 to make sure it caters both side of the market.
This will help Bajaj along with its group of brands to truly dominate the sports market like it does now with threats coming from BMW, TVS, Royal Enfield, Aprilia, Honda and Kawasaki too. Kawasaki is bringing the KLE 500 to India and that could target any of the segment Bajaj and group of its brands that are and will be available at many price points.
The market is shifting towards ADV by a big margin but slowly and steadily in each segment. Bajaj will simple and affordable models could take the market along with mid level priced models could take on rivals. It will be interesting to see if Bajaj can materialize all this in the coming years while its plate already full for significant launches set for this year and 2027.
