BMW i5 LWB: Powered by a rear-mounted single electric motor that generates 268 hp and 410 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. Its larger 81.6 kWh battery pack supports a claimed range of 669 km under MIDC testing standards, with 10–80% DC fast charging taking 33 minutes at up to 160 kW.
Mercedes-Benz E 220d: Employs a combustion setup combining a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 48V mild-hybrid technology mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Generating 197 hp and a peak torque of 440 Nm, it reaches 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. While slower in sprint acceleration than its electric counterparts, it provides continuous long-distance range exceeding 800 km on a single tank.
Front Cabin Technology: The BMW i5 LWB centers driver engagement around a 14.9-inch touchscreen paired with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 17-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system. The Lexus ES 500e matches the 12.3-inch driver’s display, uses a 14-inch main touchscreen, and features a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio setup. The Mercedes-Benz E 220d offers a passenger display setup, incorporating a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, an additional 12.3-inch front passenger screen, and a 17-speaker Burmester sound system.
Seat Adjustments & Rear Comfort: Front-seat ventilation is provided on both the BMW i5 LWB and Lexus ES 500e, whereas the Mercedes-Benz E 220d omits front ventilation in favor of rear-passenger features. The E 220d includes rear seats that recline up to 36 degrees, electric seat adjustment controls from the rear, soft-close doors, and rear sunblinds. The Lexus ES 500e also provides soft-close doors, rear sunshades, and a digital IRVM.
