Renault is all set to unveil the new generation Duster on November 29. While the official trailer is yet to be released, leaked images have surfaced online, revealing what the much-anticipated SUV looks like.
The upcoming Duster will be built on the CMF-B platform. Inspired by the Bigster concept, the design features a unique horizontal grille adorned with Y-shaped headlights on the sides.
Square wheel spokes filled with insulation add rigidity, while Y-shaped tail light clusters add to the rear profile. Although similar to the Bigster, the styling of the new Duster has a compact footprint. A long-wheelbase version will also be available, offering seven seats.
Inside, the new Duster has an all-new dashboard with a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment screen. The images show a digital instrument cluster, which represents the front interface.
Under the hood, the next generation Duster is expected to offer a variety of petrol engines to suit different needs. Options include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 118bhp, a 1.2-litre petrol producing 138bhp and a 1.3-litre turbo petrol flex-fuel producing a maximum power of 168bhp. Diesel engines are not available. Enthusiasts in India can look forward to the launch of the Duster generation in 2025. Once the SUV is launched, it will enter a very competitive market and join the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara and, in the mid-SUV segment of size, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate and MG Astor.
