Kawasaki has officially teased the highly anticipated Versys 900 ahead of its global debut on October 13, giving touring enthusiasts plenty to celebrate. Based on the acclaimed Z900 naked street bike, this new sport-tourer expands the Versys family with elevated long-distance comfort, enhanced aerodynamics, and versatile long-haul capabilities. The official teaser clip offers an exciting first look at its Versys-style quarter fairing paired with a tall windscreen designed to keep wind blast at bay, as well as an upright, relaxed seating posture that promises effortless hours in the saddle. Up front, the sharp LED headlight assembly is complemented by standard auxiliary LED projector lights underneath, giving the bike both a commanding presence and superior night-riding visibility.
Engineered to master highway cruising and winding backroads alike, the Versys 900 rides on stylish 17-inch alloy wheels with extended suspension travel to handle varied road conditions smoothly. It is powered by Kawasaki’s remarkably smooth and punchy 948cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine—delivering a robust 123.6 bhp and 98.6 Nm of torque through a slick six-speed transmission. Riders can also look forward to touring-friendly enhancements like a larger fuel tank, roomier seating, accessory luggage options, and a feature-packed electronics suite complete with a crisp TFT display, IMU-assisted rider aids, and a bidirectional quickshifter.
