It explains the mountains (pun intended) of engineering changes the manufacturer has done. The manufacturer claims there is not a single bolt that is carried over and yet it look like an revolutionary new bike that has been inspired by the older Himalayan. The older Himalayan stays up and running in the Scram 411 format for now, which will be replaced by this new model in the next few months or a year.

Front and rear suspension remain the same in terms of travel, but the high quality units from Showa, at the front, should make it a formidable motorcycle now to ride. All though we doubt it can come close to the KTM ADV 390’s sophistication in any way. Showa suspension is now seen on small motorcycles in the Indian market such as the TVS Apache. What is yet to be seen is how the chassis behaves, how the engine revs in its new liquid cooled avatar and most importantly, does it offer the best both worlds or not.
