Ampere has filed a design patent in India for its Xyber electric motorcycle, a model that initially debuted as a concept at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. The patent illustrations reveal a streetfighter-style design characterized by muscular body panels, split seats, a wide handlebar, and a small front flyscreen. The lighting system features an LED headlight paired with ‘Arctic Term’ wing-inspired daytime running lights (DRLs). For its underpinnings, the motorcycle utilizes an inverted front fork, a rear monoshock, and 17-inch wheels fitted with road-biased tyres, supported by disc brakes on both the front and rear.

Regarding performance and technology, the Ampere Xyber is expected to be powered by a mid-mounted electric motor generating approximately 10 kW of peak power, allowing for a projected top speed of 100 km/h. It is anticipated to house a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery pack that offers a claimed range of up to 200 kilometers on a single charge. The production model is also expected to carry over the concept’s instrument console, which includes a TFT display featuring smartphone connectivity and Google Maps navigation. This launch will position Ampere within the premium electric motorcycle segment, serving as a direct competitor to models such as the Oben Rorr Evo, Revolt RVX, and Avore EX2.
