BS6 Hero Maestro Edge 110 has recently been launched in the market. As expected, there is no change in the overall styling of the scooter with most of the body panels been carried forward. That said, Hero has added new colour schemes and a slew of features to augment the demand of the scooter. The BS6 Maestro Edge 110 is now available in a total of six shades – Midnight Blue, Candy Blazing Red, Seal Silver, Panther Black, Pearl Fadeless White, and Techno Blue. Compared to the outgoing version, these hues mark a welcome addition and give buyers a range of tones to choose from.
The very obvious and most important change has manifested in the form of the new BS6 compliant engine that Maestro has received. The engine displaces 110cc and comes with fuel-injection technology. The cooling is through the air and the total output is rated at [email protected] and [email protected] The transmission is a continuously variable unit and according to the company, the use of the XSens technology has helped the new Maestro to up its acceleration performance and fuel efficiency numbers.
In terms of suspension hardware, BS6 Hero Maestro Edge 110 features telescopic and hydraulic damper to suspend the 12-inch and 10-inch wheels at the front and rear respectively. Both front and rear brakes are drums and for now, the disk brake option is not available. The scooter weighs the scale at 112 kg and has a 5-liter capacity fuel tank.
In terms of features, the BS6 Hero Maestro Edge 110 comes equipped with a side-stand indicator, a combination lock, an external fuel filler cap, and a USB port with an illuminated stowage compartment. Also, you get the service reminder features which is really useful addition. The pricing for the BS6 Maestro 110 starts at Rs 60,950 while the alloy-wheeled version can be had at Rs 62,450. In terms of competition, the new Hero Maestro 110 is pitted against the likes of TVS Jupiter and Honda Activa 6G.
