BSA Motorcycle has brought back the iconic Bantam name with the introduction of the Bantam 350 in the UK. This new model draws inspiration from the Jawa 42 FJ but stands out with its unique styling.

Positioned as the entry-level bike in BSA’s lineup, the Bantam 350 is expected to make its debut in the European market soon. It shares its chassis and suspension components with the Jawa 42 FJ, yet boasts a sleeker body design.

The Bantam 350 showcases a round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a minimalist tail section. Its performance is powered by the same 334cc, liquid-cooled Alpha 2 motor that is found across the Jawa-Yezdi range, generating around 29 bhp and close to 29Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Targeted for European and global markets, it seems unlikely that Classic Legends will introduce the Bantam 350 in India, as they wish to preserve the integrity of the BSA brand there, particularly with an entry-level product.

For those unfamiliar, the original BSA Bantam was a lightweight two-stroke motorcycle that was produced from 1948 to 1971. In addition to the Bantam 350, BSA Motorcycle has also introduced the Scrambler 650 in the UK, which is based on the BSA Gold Star and is set to be launched in India soon.
