Hero MotoCorp has received 25,597 bookings for the Harley-Davidson X440, since opening the bookings on the 4th of July, 2023.The booking window has now been closed, and the new booking window will be announced soon. Hero MotoCorp will start production of the Harley-Davidson X440 in September 2023 and commence customer deliveries from October onwards. The introductory ex-showroom prices have now been revised and the revised prices for the Denim, Vivid and S variants will be INR 2,39,500/-, INR 2,59,500/- and INR 2,79,500/- respectively.
While these numbers seem higher than the Bajaj made Triumph Speed and Scrambler 400 for now, we understand that Bajaj-Triumph announced that their discount price is over and there can be more bookings for both motorcycles together. Scrambler 400 and Speed 400 total amount of bookings will be announced soon or around the launch of the Triumph Scrambler 400. Hero might have gotten initital success with HD 440X, it is already fixing the problem with its product, which is the styling.
More variants are already incoming as the name Maverick and Nighster are trademarked. The same platform with new design could actually take the battle head on with Triumph 400cc motorcycle. We also know that Triumph is working on atleast 6 models on the 400cc platform in true Triumph tradition. The battle is hot and it has very long way ahead.
