Hyundai Verna and Creta CVT Recalled For Issues

Hyundai India has recalled pre-facelift Verna and Creta models due to a potential problem with the electronic oil pump controller. A total of 7,698 Creta SUVs and Verna sedans equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline-CVT powertrain have been recalled by the Korean automaker. The affected units were manufactured between February 13, 2023 and June 6, 2023.

It is known that a potential issue with the electronic oil pump controller could affect the performance of electronic oil pump. At this time, we are unable to comment on the safety of the affected vehicles and recommend that owners of pre-facelift CVT Verna or Creta vehicles. Customers should contact their nearest Hyundai dealer or call their customer service center at 1800-114-645 to check if their vehicle is on this list. During the recall, if included, it is recommended having the part replaced as soon as possible to ensure that the vehicle is in optimal running condition.
