The 160 Duke offers a balance of thrilling performance, everyday rideability, and aggressive design in the KTM Naked Street portfolio, which will now have four cutting edge motorcycles from 160cc to 400cc.
The model is expected to significantly expand KTM’s reach into the premium sport segment, attracting a new generation of riders to the brand’s performance ecosystem
Manik Nangia, President – Probiking: “Inside every one of us is a racer. We all have that instinct to compete and push limits. For over a decade, KTM has given that instinct expression — defining India’s premium sport motorcycle category with an uncompromising ‘Ready to Race’ mindset and thrilling generations of young riders. With the new KTM 160 Duke, we’ve distilled KTM’s legendary DNA into performance motorcycles that are more accessible than ever — without sacrificing the performance, precision, and attitude that define every KTM.”
The KTM 160cc platform is set to bring in more Bajaj motorcycles as well. We have reported A Pulsar RS 160 on the way as well. The NS 160 and N 160 are already up on sale. This way, Bajaj group of motorcycle manufacturers will target the Yamaha R15 and MT-15 along with other motorcycles in this segment. The 160cc market is growing while everything around it, is shrinking such as the 150 and 200cc motorcycles. The 160 Duke is taking over the 125 Duke’s place in KTM’s lineup and the Duke/RC 200 in the far away future. KTM RC 250 has always been in the pipeline for the Indian market.
