7-Seaters remain critical for Indian market and till today, there are only handful of them available. Set to change in every segment, the 7-seater from almost every mainstream brand is coming and the competition is going to be intense. Let’s look at which one’s are coming.

Expected Launch: Second half of 2026
Platform & Size: CMF-B modular platform; 2.74-metre wheelbase, overall length exceeding 4.5 metres.
Powertrains: 1.3-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.8-litre strong hybrid (1.4 kWh battery + dual electric motors).
Key Features: Panoramic sunroof, 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, Arkamys sound system, powered front seats, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, and drive/terrain modes.

### 2. Kia Sorento (Codename MQ4i)

Expected Launch: By end of 2026
Expected Price: ₹30 Lakh – ₹40 Lakh
Powertrain: India-specific 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol hybrid.
Key Features: Dual 12.3-inch curved displays, head-up display (HUD), panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, and full signature LED lighting layout.

### 3. Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder (7-Seater)

Expected Launch: Festive season 2026
Design Updates: Stretched overall body, longer wheelbase, and larger rear overhang to accommodate the third row.
Powertrains: 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol and 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol.
Key Features: Retains dashboard layout and feature set from the standard Hyryder, offering enhanced 3-row family practicality.

### 4. Hyundai Ni1i

Expected Launch: 2027
Platform & Positioning: Shares underpinnings and strong hybrid powertrain with the Kia Sorento; aimed directly at the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari segment.
Key Focus: Premium features, multi-row seating practicality, and high fuel-efficiency hybrid technology.

### 5. Nissan 7-Seater SUV

Expected Launch: Early 2027
Design:** Unique styling inspired by the larger global Nissan Patrol (distinct from the Renault Boreal).
Powertrain: 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine (will not offer the 1.8L strong hybrid).

* **Expected Launch:** Late 2026
* **Platform:** Acti.EV+ architecture (shared with Harrier.ev).
* **Battery & Range:** 65 kWh to 80 kWh battery packs; expected range of 550 km – 600 km.
* **Drivetrain:** Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) on base variants; dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) on top trims.

### 7.2026-mg-hector-price (2) Hawk

Expected Launch: Festive season 2026
Base Model: Based on the Wuling Starlight 560 platform.
Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): 1.5-litre petrol + 20.5 kWh battery + front electric motor (197 hp / 230 Nm).
Pure Electric (EV): 56.7 kWh battery + 136 bhp front motor (200 Nm) with ~500 km range.
Key Features: Minimalist interior, 12.8-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch digital driver display, automatic climate control, 6-speaker audio system.

Expected Launch: Festive season 2026
Exterior Changes: Redesigned front grille, updated LED headlamps & DRLs, revised bumpers, and new 19-inch alloy wheels.
Interior & Features: Panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake (EPB), 10.25-inch touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats.
Powertrains: Retains 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol with manual and automatic options.

Expected Launch: Festive season 2026
Exterior & Interior Updates: Minor styling refresh including revised grille, updated front/rear bumpers, refreshed lighting elements, improved touchscreen infotainment, new upholstery, and added charging ports.
Powertrain:** Retains the existing 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with manual transmission.

Expected Launch: Mid-to-Late 2026
Engine Update: Sourced 1.5-litre turbo-petrol TGDi engine from Tata Motors (170 PS power / 280 Nm torque).
Design & Interior: Minimal exterior/interior design changes; primary focus is adding an efficient, powerful petrol engine option.

### 11. Maruti XL6/XL7
Expected Launch: Mid-to-Late 2027
Engine Update: Sourced 1.5-litre petrol engine making 105 PS and 145 nm and possibility of 1.0 turbo making 110 PS!
Design & Interior: Minimal exterior/interior design changes, new screen from Victoris incoming
