Many new cars Maruti Suzuki plans to launch over the years are exciting and rich with powertrain options. There is a new turbo engine with AMT, CVT and manual gearboxes that are going to be offered and they will heavily revised.
New SUV to Compete with Creta/Seltos/Curvv:
Maruti is planning to release a new five-seater SUV, possibly named the Escudo, to co exist directly with the Vitara. It will be slightly larger than the Brezza and share its design language. Expected features include a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and a 9-10 inch touchscreen. The engine options are likely to be a 1.5L non-hybrid, 1.5L solid hybrid, and 1.5L CNG. Pricing is estimated to be between ₹12 lakh and ₹20 lakh, with the hybrid model potentially reaching ₹24 lakh. The launch is anticipated in September 2025.
Maruti’s First Electric SUV: E-Vitara:
The company is set to launch its first electric SUV, the Eitar, which will be a direct competitor to the Creta EV. It is expected to have a price range of ₹18 lakh to ₹24 lakh and be equipped with a 60 kWh battery, offering a real-life range of 450 to 500 km. Features will include a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, ADAS, and a wireless infotainment system.
2027 Baleno Hybrid:
The upcoming Baleno will feature a new three-cylinder 1.2L engine, replacing the current four-cylinder, to improve mileage. A hybrid version is expected to achieve a mileage of 30-35 km/l and cost about ₹1.5 lakh more than the standard petrol variant. It will also have styling changes and a new sunroof. The price for the new Baleno is expected to increase by about ₹1.5 lakh, with the top-end hybrid model costing around ₹13.5 lakh.
2026 Maruti Fronx:
The Fronx will also see an engine change from a four-cylinder to a three-cylinder. A facelift with minor exterior tweaks is expected. A hybrid option is going to be introduced. The Launch is set for Mid 2026.
2026 Maruti Brezza:
The next-generation Brezza will receive a significant upgrade in looks, dimensions, and interior quality. Features will include a 360-degree camera, heads-up display, 10-inch touchscreen, and possibly a panoramic sunroof. New engine options are expected to be a 1.5L CNG, a 1.2l Hybrid like Fronx and a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine.
New Micro-SUV to Rival Tata Punch:
Maruti is developing a new micro-SUV to compete with the Tata Punch. Priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹11 lakh, this new SUV will feature a 360-degree camera, sunroof, and a 9-10 inch touchscreen. It will have a high seating position similar to the Brezza and fit in the place where Ignis does now.
New 7-Seater SUV to Rival Mahindra XUV700:
In collaboration with Toyota, Maruti plans to launch a new 7-seater SUV to rival the Mahindra XUV700. The price is estimated to be between ₹20 lakh and ₹30 lakh. It is expected to use a 2.0L petrol and a 2.0L hybrid engine from Toyota and feature a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, ADAS Level 2, and a 360-degree camera.
Next-Generation Ertiga range:
The new-generation Ertiga is expected to be launched in 2026-2027. It will be bigger and offer more premium features, with a focus on CNG and petrol engines for better mileage. A sunroof is also expected to be added. The` Ertiga will remain affordable and similar. However, the XL6 or XL7 will come to distinguish itself much better and will be sold through Nexa as before.
