On August 12, 2026, Mercedes-Benz India, in Mumbai, MBI announced new service initiatives aimed at reducing the total cost of ownership and enhancing the customer experience. A key feature is the installation of India’s first AI-powered automated vehicle scanner at the Landmark Cars facility in Jogeshwari, Mumbai. This scanner utilizes a 360-degree high-resolution camera and artificial intelligence to digitally assess the exterior condition of the vehicle, detect damage, and measure tire tread depth. This system is currently operational in countries like Germany, Italy, Korea, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Turkey.
The company also introduced the ‘Service Select’ program, designed for vehicles older than seven years. This program provides up to 25% savings on specific parts, a two-year warranty on parts, and Mobilio Lite benefits. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz inaugurated its 14th luxury facility in Mumbai, Landmark Cars, which spans 58,000 sq. ft. and is now the city’s largest luxury service facility. The service center includes 16 maintenance bays, 9 body and paint bays, 9 support bays, and employs around 95 trained professionals.
Currently, Mercedes-Benz operates over 90 service touchpoints and 1,200 service bays in India, supported by a workforce of more than 4,200 people. The nationwide network averages three car services per minute and sells 12,500 parts daily. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its network by adding over 20 new outlets by the end of 2026, backed by a commitment of over INR 450 crore from franchise partners.
