In Post-Covid world, the luxury car market in India has seen a surge in demand, and Mercedes-Benz stands out as a key player in this space. The brand’s Maybach sub-line offers a range of ultra-exclusive models. Daniel Lescow, the Global Head of Sales for Mercedes-Maybach, believes that India is poised to emerge as one of the top five global markets for luxury car sales. In 2024, Maybach recorded the impressive milestone of selling 10 cars each week in India.
“Last year, our sales in India grew by an astounding 145%, with figures surpassing 500 cars, positioning us as one of the fastest-growing markets worldwide,” Lescow shared. He expressed optimism about the Indian market, noting, “The growth potential here is remarkable.”

Additionally, he highlighted efforts to enhance brand awareness and deepen customer understanding of their products. “We are also establishing dedicated brand spaces to provide a more comprehensive experience of our offerings and accessories,” he noted. Interestingly, a younger demographic is increasingly gravitating toward the brand, with the average age of customers in India being just 38, compared to a higher average globally.
