The launch of the Ola S1 and S1 Pro Electric has renewed the competition in the electric scooter category of the Indian market. Ola claims a 181 km range on S1 Pro which is a decent number and can easily meet most of our riding requirements in day-to-day life. Now depending upon the subsidy offered by different states under the FAME-II scheme, the prices of Ola scooters will become even more attractive. But how do these prices compare against the competition?

To find the answer we compare the prices of Ola’s S1 against its established rivals such as Ather 450X, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak and Simple One. For this comparison, post-subsidy ex-showroom prices of all these scooters in Delhi have been considered and accordingly, we found that S1 and S1 Pro variants cost Rs 85k and Rs 1.10 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, India).
