Royal Enfield Interceptor with dual front disc brakes was spied earlier this year. We now have a look at the Continental GT with dual front disc brakes. Both the bikes will be powered by Royal Enfield’s new 750cc engine, which is expected to be launched within a year from now. A move that puts surprisingly puts the question on whether the 650 range follows or not. With a dual front disc setup to complement the extra power that the engine will make.
Royal Enfield’s Continental GT-R successor will come with a small bikini fairing. The C-GT was always meant to have a fairing, but it has always come without one and just lowered clip-on bars. The bike could address the suspension and chassis limitations the current INT and CGT 650 have.
This test bike also sports a single-digit digital display, although it doesn’t feature the Royal Enfield’s TFT instrument panel and analogue-digital instrument cluster. The Bear 650 is the first model in RE’s twin-cylinder range to feature a TFT display, and the Continental GT 750 is likely to follow suit with even more features.
Royal Enfield’s premium twin-cylinder models are the Interceptor and Continental GT, which were the first motorcycles to come with a 648cc engine nearly seven years ago. Now, these two motorcycles are the first Royal Enfield motorcycles to feature their latest engine.
It remains to be seen how Royal Enfield will price the two 750cc models, as the Interceptor and Continental GT are the most expensive models in the twin-cylinder range already. With both bikes equipped with 750cc engines, will the other follow? Time will answer these questions.
