The Skoda Kylaq has officially reached a significant milestone, crossing the 50,000-unit sales mark in just 13 months to become the brand’s fastest model to achieve this figure. To celebrate the occasion, Skoda is rolling out special promotional offers valid until February 28, 2026. As Skoda’s most accessible sub-4-meter compact SUV, the Kylaq has become a vital strategic model for the brand, accounting for nearly 62 percent of its total sales last year. Its popularity was further accelerated by recent GST revisions that lowered tax rates for sub-4-meter vehicles, resulting in favorable price cuts. To keep pace with this surging demand, the automaker has increased the production capacity at its Chakan plant by 30 percent.
Under the hood, the Kylaq is powered exclusively by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 115hp and 178Nm of torque, paired with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Current ex-showroom prices range from Rs 7.59 lakh to Rs 12.99 lakh. To continue adding value to the lineup, Skoda recently introduced two new lower- and mid-spec trims and is preparing to launch a sportier, top-of-the-line Sportline variant featuring cosmetic enhancements later this year.
