Three 2023 Kia Models Launched With New Kia Connect And More!

If you cannot understand what was happening over the last two weeks, today Kia has finally made things official after sending all the details. We are going to help make it simpler by making you know everything that Kia has done. Those are some pretty big updates to powertrains, price and subtle changes to features. It can be branded as a major reshuffling because of Kia’s plans to deal with the Indian market competitive scenario. Let’s dive into details as simply as possible about the 2023 Kia Models.

2022 Kia Seltos and Sonet (3)

Kia Sonet: The baby Seltos has seen the least amount of change. The engines have become RDE-friendly which means the diesel will need Adblue filling. The petrol gets E20 and RDE compliance which makes it future ready and their emissions have gone slightly lower along with some mechanical changes done that should make it smoother as well. This is the same engine as Aura and Grand i10 hence we can tell you how the Sonet could feel too before driving it. The diesel engine is now devoid of a manual and gets replaced with an iMT. The manual remains in the 1.2l petrol car as a 5-speed unit and the iMT for turbo petrol. Turbo petrol continues with DCT and diesel automatic is the same T/C automatic. The petrol prices for 1.0-litre turbo and 1.2l N/A engine have been bumped by Rs 25,000. Rs 50,000 has been hiked for diesel. The mega lineup of variants continues with a waiting period stretching up to 2 to 4 months.

Kia Seltos: The Selto has seen substantial changes in every department. The diesel engine is now devoid of a manual and gets replaced with and 6-speed iMT. The manual remains in the 1.5l petrol car as a 6-speed unit and so does the CVT known as iVT in Kia’s dictionary. Turbo petrol has been discontinued and it will only come back as a 1.5l unit in the facelifted Seltos set for launch in Diwali 2023. The prices for 1.5l N/A and diesel engines have been bumped by Rs 50,000. All variants now come with start/stop technology. The mega lineup of variants continues with a waiting period stretching up to 2 to 6 months. The engines have become RDE-friendly which means the diesel will need Adblue filling. Kia Carens: The MPV has received a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor along with the diesel being retained with AdBlue needs to be filled in it. Turbo petrol makes 160 PS and 230 Nm of torque. The diesel gets an iMT and the manual is gone just like the other two cars in the Kia lineup. The prices have bumped to Rs 50,000. Connected car technology and a 12.5-inch screen are now standard on all variants. The Prestige Plus variant gets a leather-wrapped gear knob. All variants now come with start/stop technology.

Kia Carens India Reveal Launch

This is a gentle reminder that the Kia EV6 second batch is set to arrive. The Kia Carnival 2023 all-new version will launch before July 2023 and the Seltos and Sonet facelift will come on Diwali and Christmas respectively.
