Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced the release of the updated Pulsar 125, priced at INR 92,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). The launch is part of an ongoing update to the Pulsar line, a motorcycle brand introduced in 2001 that has sold over 20 million units across more than 40 countries. While retaining its established silhouette and standard design elements, the new models incorporate several specific mechanical and technological upgrades aimed at modernizing the commuter segment.
The updated Pulsar 125 is powered by a 124.58cc engine that produces 12 PS at 8000 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. According to the manufacturer, an improved power-to-weight ratio and a redesigned gearbox are intended to enhance acceleration and low-speed tractability. Structurally, the motorcycle utilizes a new diamond-type frame where the engine acts as a stressed member to increase overall rigidity. This chassis is paired with a new nitrogen gas-charged emulsion monoshock suspension to improve handling and stability.
In terms of digital and rider-assistance technology, the Pulsar 125 is equipped with a new 5-inch TFT console that supports Google Maps mirroring, digital document storage for items like insurance and registration, and mobile connectivity for call and media controls. The motorcycle also introduces three selectable riding modes—Road, Rain, and Sport—alongside a “Crawl Tech” feature designed to assist with maneuvering in low-speed traffic. Additional updates include a redesigned LED headlamp and, on the top variants, an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) featuring an automatic start-stop system to optimize fuel efficiency.
