As a next step in bolstering the EV charging network in Gurugram, Statiq is installing 7 EV stations at 7 prime properties of real estate leaders, the JMD Group
New Delhi, 7th August 2022: Statiq, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has teamed up with leading realty group JMD to set up 23 EV chargers in 7 of their commercial Gurugram projects in order to bolster India’s EV charging facilities in the North. JMD Regent Plaza, JMD Regent Square, JMD Empire, JMD Regent Arcade Mall, JMD Pacific Square, JMD Galleria, and JMD Megapolis are the seven strategic properties that will share 23 new Statiq charging units among them. With this move, Statiq is making reliable and affordable EV charging robustly accessible for users at tactical locations in Gurugram.

Each of these seven charging stations will offer a combination of slow and fast chargers (of 22kW to 60kW strength), with AC chargers to power 2- and 3-wheelers and DC chargers for 4-wheelers. This tie-up is also remarkable in that it will propel Statiq to not only reach its aim of having a 10,000-charger strong network much before the end of this fiscal, but also update their goal post. The company will now aim to install more than 20,000 chargers before the end of this year, and help more EV users to always #StayCharged and commute stress-free.

Co-Founder and CEO, Statiq, Akshit Bansal says, “When it comes to commuting, EVs are the future and Statiq is doing its best to ensure that India is ready for it. A robust and growing EV charging network is one fundamental way of making EV usage more attractive. By teaming up with the esteemed JMD Group, we are able to multiply our network – not only in terms of 7 stations with 23 charging units; but by being available to the deluge of people milling through these arterial properties every day. We are happy that this collaboration helps us keep our promise to EV users of always helping them #StayCharged.”

V.P, Karam Bedi says, at JMD it is our endeavour to keep all the sites future ready and by partnering with Statiq, we will be able to help reduce our cost on footprint. At JMD we are investing in Energy saving equipments and are proud to have JMD Suburbio 2 a “GOLD” Leed Certified Project”.

As a company, Statiq wants to provide an end-to-end ecosystem for EV charging and assure everybody that a Statiq EV charging station will always be at hand. Working towards that aim, just recently Statiq has raised over Rs. 200 crore in a Series ‘A’ funding. They have teamed up with Hero Electric and also collaborated with EV maker Ather, to enhance the combined EV charging network in the northern states of India. The latest proposition is the next step on Statiq’s part to expedite this process further.

Over the last year, Statiq has launched numerous charging stations to reinforce their already considerable network. By the end of the year, Statiq aims to have an approximately 20,000-strong charging network. Each location is handpicked for one singular reason – that it is located on busy routes with extremely extensive footfalls. Statiq is looking forward to making many more such announcements.
