Suzuki Burgman Street 125 India Launch Is Set To Happen Soon – Spied

Suzuki Burgman Street 125 India Launch should happen in the next 1.5 months as it has been caught filming for a TVC

Suzuki Motorcycle will be updating their line up with a new product launch for the Indian market. This will most likely be a scooter, as the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 has been spotted undisguised for a shoot in the Nation’s capital. We could witness the launch of this scooter somewhere around the second half of this year.

The Burgman Street 125 was first showcased to us at the recently held 2018 Auto Expo. This scooter is based on the Access 125 and it also shares the same underpinnings but the design of it is completely different.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is built like a maxi scooter and it will come equipped with a LED headlight unit and a LED tail light unit. It will also feature an extra long seat which also helps to equip a large storage space/boot under it. In addition to this, the Burgman Street 125 will also feature a telescopic front suspension along with a disc brake unit, it might also come equipped with Combined Braking System which is also offered on the recently launched Suzuki Access 125.

At a first glance, the Burgman Street 125 can be easily mistaken for a higher capacity scooter (125cc-650cc) from the Burgman range of scooters which is available in the international market. As the name suggest, Suzuki will only introduce the 125cc model in India and the engine is similar to the one powering the Access 125. The 124cc single cylinder petrol engine produces 8.5 bhp of power at 6,500 rpm and 10.2Nm of twist at 5,000 rpm.

Once launched the Burgman Street 125 could be expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 65,000 to Rs 75,000. In terms of styling and design, there isn’t any direct competitor for the Burgman Street 125, but it will compete with many 125cc scooters such as the TVS NTorq, Aprilia SR 125, Honda Grazia, etc in the Indian market.
