Suzuki GSX-R250 could be a twin-cylinder motorcycle to take on the like of the R25 and Honda CBR 250RR around the world and India

Suzuki finally seems to be in competitive mode worldwide. After responding to litre class motorcycle rivals from around the world. The manufacturer also updated it middle weight motorcycles as well. The manufacturer now, in India responded here as well by making 155cc motorcycles in faired and naked form and are an instant hit.

The motorcycles that Suzuki makes are clearly to look forward too. The motorcycle today that has been spied is being called the Suzuki GSX-R250. The motorcycle seems to be larger and bigger. The 250cc variant has been spied on several occasions before as well. However, unconfirmed reports suggest that the manufacturer has been either working on a single-cylinder or twin-cylinder. These new drawings kind of confirm that this is the twin that will be fighting its new rivals from Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha.

Suzuki GSX-2R50 Design and Dimensions

Expect the design language to be very similar to the Gixxer SF that we have here. However, we can see changes in the fairing panel, a minor change in the headlight and the tail section is all new. Sharper panels on the side mark this is something different indeed. Dimensions will increase to house the new bigger engine but of the same displacement.

Suzuki GSX-R250 Price and Launch

Launch will happen in late 2017 and prices will be around the same ball park as competition which should be around such as Rs. 1.50 for single-cylinder or Rs. 2.5 lakhs for twin-cylinder Lakhs ex-showroom.

The engine could be a 250cc that will make around 30-35 BHP of power and 25-30 Nm of torque. A 4-valve twin-cylinder, fuel-injected motor will be powerful and refined at the same time. Competition in this segment is high and so are the volumes. All of this could make the performance and price both higher at the same time.

Suzuki GSX-250 Safety and Features

ABS could be standard with this new Suzuki when it comes to India if it launches in the year 2017. If it comes earlier than that then Suzuki can offer ABS and non-ABS variants.
