Tata Motors launched a coupe SUV called Curvv in the Indian market last year. It is considered a competitor to similar models like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos. What makes the Tata Curvv unique is its design, but it also comes with a new 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. It’s a big difference from the Nexon’s 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, which produces 125 horsepower and 225 Nm. Tata Motors has now released a new video in which the Curvv can be seen towing a combined weight of 42,000 kg.
The weight is distributed across three trucks, each weighing 12,000 kg. Prices for the Tata Curvv start at Rs 10 lakh and the ex-showroom price goes up to Rs 1.92 lakh. The SUV is available with three engine options – 1.2L Turbo Petrol, 1.2L Hyperion Turbo Petrol and 1.5L Turbo Diesel. These engines can be mated to a 7-speed DCA or 6-speed manual transmission. The smaller 1.2-litre Revotron engine puts out 120 hp/ 172 Nm while the oil burner puts out 115 hp and 260 Nm.
Packed with a wealth of features, the Tata Curvv definitely has the potential to impress any tech geek. It comes with Level 2 ADAS, multiple airbags, a panoramic sunroof with voice control and mood lighting, flush door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a Harman sound system.
