Tesla announces the launch of the first Tesla Charging Station in Mumbai, India – 1 August 2025

In the next step of Tesla’s journey in India, Tesla will officially launch the first Tesla Charging Station in Mumbai, One BKC on Monday, 4 August 2025.

The Tesla Charging Station features four V4 Supercharging Stalls (DC Charging) and four Destination Charging Stalls (AC Charging), providing customers the option to select the best option suited to their needs at BKC. The Tesla Supercharging Stalls offer a peak charging speed of 250 kW starting at INR 24/kW and Destination Chargers providing 11kW at INR 14/kW.

Tesla is dedicated to delivering the most convenient and integrated charging experience to customers. This will be the first of the eight Supercharging sites that were announced during the launch in Mumbai with more planned across the country, to provide the optimal cross-country experience.

Model Y can add up to 267 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes with Tesla Superchargers, enough for 5 return trips between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai and Gateway of India.

Tesla Superchargers provide a fast and convenient way to charge a Tesla on the road, with an uptime of 99.95%, meaning you never need to worry about whether you can charge your Tesla. The charging speed varies depending on several factors, including the battery’s current state of charge and its temperature. The vehicle can route you to the charger of your choice and automatically precondition the battery before arriving at the station to ensure a faster charging experience.

To use a Supercharger, Tesla owners can simply plug in to start charging automatically. With the Tesla app, you can check Supercharger stall availability, monitor charging progress, receive notifications when charging is complete and pay for charging, directly from your phone.

Tesla has announced that the Tesla Design Studio has been opened to all cities in India. Customers can now design and order your Tesla through https://www.tesla.com/en_IN/modely/design.

Model Y (base price starting from INR 59,89,000) is now available to view and order in India, registration in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurugram will be prioritized for delivery starting from 2025 Q3. Customers can contact Tesla India’s hotline at 1 800 203 1538 for more information.

To further enable the transition to sustainable energy, Tesla will be providing a free wall connector with purchase of a new Tesla to be installed in customer’s residences. Allowing customers to wake up with a fully charged Tesla daily, saving them trips to the gas station at a lower cost per mile.
